Spangle: How Much Blame should the GOP get for the NSA Scandal?

Republicans, you know how mad you are at Obama for this NSA phone tapping scandal? Let’s look at the politicians you vote for.

Let’s take current Indiana Governor Mike Pence, a so-called champion of liberty. Take a look at this, and then start asking them questions:

“Congressman Pence voted yes on allowing federal government electronic surveillance without a warrant (September 2006), voted against requiring FISA warrants for wiretaps (March 2008), and voted for the REAL ID Act (February 2005). He voted for the USA PATRIOT Act in 2001 and voted to make it permanent in 2005. In 2005 and 2006, Pence voted for the Military Commissions Act, voted for the Electronic Surveillence Modernization Act, and voted against a resolution to ban inhumane treatment (torture) of detainees held by U.S. forces.” -

“The Patriot Act is essential to our continued success in the war on terror here at home.” – Mike Pence

Does Senate Bill 536 make it illegal to possess and sell most cigarettes in Indiana?

I’ve taken a real close look at the provisions in Senate Bill 536 regarding “look-alike” synthetic drugs. It seems to me that a good case can be made that cigarettes with additives of any type will become a “look-alike” synthetic drug unless Governor Pence vetoes the bill today. Only pure tobacco products are exempt from the “look-alike” synthetic drug provisions. Click here for a wikipedia entry on additives in cigarettes. Click here to go to SB 536 and review Sec. 321.5. near the end. Click here to go to SB246, which fixes an error in Senate Bill 536. Why Am I Putting This Online? Oh God… My First Radio Show

In April of 2005, Andrew Lee and Abdul-Hakim Shabazz gave me an hour of air time one Saturday at the end of my internship at WXNT. I recently discovered it on an external hard drive with a bunch of Abdul in the Morning podcasts from 2007-2008, which has been turned in to the WXNT’s Ghost podcast. I hosted with my friends Robb Greene and Jason Neeland.

It was less bad than I remembered.
