The Libertarian Party of Marion County is holding our annual convention this January 19, 2019 at 6 pm in the Wilkie Room at the Athenaeum.
2019 is a big year for Marion County politics with the election of Mayor, City-County Council, and many excluded-city races in Beech Grove, Lawrence, and Speedway.
The convention is open to anyone interested in attending and is a free event. However, only dues-paying members of either the Libertarian Party of Indiana or the Libertarian Party of Marion County who also live in Marion County may cast votes for candidates.
In addition to candidates for local and statewide offices, the 2019 Convention will also see the election of officers for 2019. Anyone interested in a leadership position as Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, or Secretary may be nominated to run. Again, only LPIN or LPMC dues-paying members who live in Marion County may vote for officers.
If you are not a dues-paying member of the LPMC, you may become one here. You may also donate to the LPIN here. Money you donate to one or the other does not flow freely between each organization. To support both, consider donating to both. Likewise, any money donated to the national Libertarian Party does not flow to the LPIN or LPMC. There is no minimum, but $10 a month is suggested as a minimum.
Candidates interested in running for office or a leadership position should attend this Convention and be prepared for nomination. To help us plan and have the best information possible, learn more about candidacy here. Then file your interest to run as a Libertarian here.
